This photograph shows the difficulties in achieving absolute isolation for Biobase reconstruction in existing crown replacements.  The #14 clamp is perfect with apically angled tines to ensure contact apical to the margins but provides a window where soft tissue is exposed and can be corrected by either loosening the clamp and allowing inward spring of your rubber dam hole before reseating the clamp again, or simple over-the-top PTFE isolation in this region.  Either way, a stress-reduced situation is produced which allows for more predictable results.
