(Afternoon tea pics 1385.5: Planning for improvements in pink and white symmetry)

Happy Tuesday, and back to the grind. This patient was a lovely beekeeper who is status-post enamel-dentin uncomplicated fractures as a teenager.

*The existing overprepared PFM crowns have been with him since and it is only until recently that he wanted to attempt better balance of his esthetic zone.

*With limited funds, a reduced treatment plan excluded the attrited canines and focused only on the incisors, with minor gingival recontouring (osseous crest sounded) using a Superpulsed diode laser (810nm, 980nm) (Gemini, Ultradent) on #9, 10 to improve the proposed balance with #7, 8. The veneer preparation on #8 visually eliminates the distofacial line angle that was prominent due to mesial rotation of the tooth, but as a downside, intentionally exposes dentin in this region, a reminder of how often there is no up without a down in everything we do.

*A microlayered MT ingot is likely to be selected to balance the different values of the L relative to R sides.
