The typical margin for any circumferential case above the equator of the tooth is a long bevel, as the occlusofacial and occlusolingual line angles are usually rounded and reduced quite significantly during tooth preparation. This case depicts a situation where we are “just” below the equator of the tooth on the facial aspect, and the presence of a chamfered margin will allow for some mechanical resistance to displacement of the indirect restoration, which allows the tooth to absorb some functional stress so it is not only reliant on pure bonding. Everything fails, but it our job to mitigate all risks.

Admira Fusion was used as the core material.
