U L C E R A T I O N S. This lovely 36 year old patient presented with a chronic, recurrent area of epidermolysis bullosa localized to her attached gingiva between #4-6. Previous referral to an oral surgeon for a biopsy was unremarkable and the lesion recurred. Photobiomodulation via a dual wavelength, Superpulsed diode laser was utilized (Gemini, Ultradent) working from a distance of 2-8mm in gradated, uninitiated modes. The result is a 1 week review, which is pretty impressive I feel for an area that has always been a problem.
