Single root-canal treated teeth often darken as a result of the breakdown product of hemoglobin in the dentinal tubules, hemosiderin.  Internal bleaching is often not practicable as relapse can happen.  In this situation, a combination of incisor hypomineralization as a result of childhood trauma (Turner’s tooth) necessitated a reductive approach and the use of a single lithium disilicate veneer, microlayered to achieve harmony.  The use of porcelain to correct color requires less restorative space than the corresponding composite alternative which is important in structure-poor teeth like lower incisors.
