Freehand direct stratified veneers completed on this lovely 21 year old female who desired retention of the midline diastema. A novel zirconia and ytterbium fluoride-filled composite (Forma, Ultradent) was utilized for exceptional hardness (80HK) and polishability along with functional esthetics due to its well-matched flexural strength (160MPa) to dentin as well as exceptional compressive strength (451MPa).
A transitional chromatic gradation was placed in the dentin layer to better mimic the adjacent teeth.
Shades: A1B, WD, Clear, WE, white tint (Final Touch, Voco)
