Interesting demonstration of the thermal incompatibility of an amalgam restoration over time. Not only does amalgam not bond to enamel or dentin, it also has a greater coefficient of thermal expansion, which when paired with tensile forces focused in the palatal concavities wreaks havoc.
Isolation semi-compromised due to a bridge in the lateral incisor position extending to the contralateral central.
