The Biobase beneath indirects always feature IDS with decoupled with time microlayers of a low shrinkage stress flowable, allowing negligible impact of C-Factor and allowing composite to shrink towards the dentin during the critical 5 minutes of hybridization. This does the opposite of what bulk fill composites induce when they touch multiple walls, and actually increasing the bond strength by 400% to dentin. For added fracture toughness, use Short Fiber Reinforced Composites like Ever-X Posterior or Flow, which have a fracture toughness very similar to dentin (2.88MPa/m(exp0.5) vs. 2.61MPa/m(exp0.5).
