Class V bangers to start this weekend off right. The bridge abutment (#5/14) required separate 5% HF (aq) etching of the porcelain before conventional etching of the enamel/dentin. Silane coupling agent featuring a metal primer (G-MultiPrimer) was utilized to link the silica in the glass to the new bonding agent. The bonding agent used (G-Premio Bond) contains both MDP (bonds to non-precious metals as well as collagen/hydroxyapatite) and MDTP (bonds to precious metals) so is the perfect “link” for the new layered restoration.
