GERIATRIC DENTISTRY: Class V cases like this are quite difficult for me – a nightmare to isolate, especially as caries tunnels interproximally and apically on this lovely 80 year old woman. Trying to salvage, save, stabilize things when ideally we would just replace, overlay, onlay. Yes, there is a hairline fracture on the mid-facial of #4 (1.5), but the patient needs to have “fires put out” relative to caries before we can turn our attention to structural support.
