This lovely 13 year old girl had completed orthodontics and a round of whitening which rendered the old composite veneer that I had completed for her as a result of an uncomplicated fracture years ago too chromatic.

Split dam was indicated as she had a fixed Brazilian lingual retainer from #6-11.

Using the actual Vita-approved cured composite shade buttons, we were able to determine the closest shade to be created from:

// XWE (Extra White Enamel), which was more appropriate than WE (White Enamel) as you can see.
// WD (White Dentin) which was more appropriate than XWD (Extra White Dentin)
Clear
// White tint

The patient can easily top up a night or two of whitening and integration should be complete.
